Overview

We have an immediate opening for an AZ Truck Driver with Boom Experience. The Truck Driver will report to the Dispatcher and will be responsible for strapping loaded trailers, delivering finished goods to job sites, and assisting with product yard storage.

Responsibilities

  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product
  • Maintaining daily driving logs
  • Drive to destinations as outlined in the manifest in a safe, responsible, manner and in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations
  • Notifying Dispatch of any route changes, time delays, and non-delivered orders
  • Checking-in with Customers at each designated job
  • Finding solutions to possible challenges with the assistance of Dispatch
  • Unloading and delivering a product to an assigned area within the jobsite as directed by the Customer
  • Submitting Customer payments and paperwork to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
  • Follow proper load securement practice (chains and straps)
  • Pre-start checks for trucks, trailers, and booms

Overview

Forklift Operators are responsible for aiding in all areas of the manufacturing facility. Primarily working in the stock yard, year-round, in equipment with capacities ranging from 10,000lbs up to 100,000Ibs equipped with heating. Forklift Operators are responsible for loading, unloading trucks, and moving materials throughout the yard and plant. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks.

  • Perform and keep logs of inspection of forklift before use on each shift

GENERAL LABOURER

Overview

General labourers reporting to Area Supervisors, are responsible for aiding in all areas of the precast concrete plant and production processes. They are responsible for collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up forms and concrete placing. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Receive oral or written instructions to determine work assignments
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, crouching, and handling of materials
  • Assembly, position and dismantle concrete forms
  • Bending, tying, and placing reinforcing steel for precast concrete structures
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
  • Mix, place and spread of concrete materials

INDUSTRIAL MILLWRIGHT – MAINTENANCE

Overview

This position entails looking after the maintenance of the production equipment such as control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, forklifts, conveyers, sensors, pumps, vacuum system, planetary mixers, automated welding machines, steam generator, vibrators, pneumatic hand tools and reels in our plant facility. You are also responsible for general housekeeping and other shared duties in and around the facility. Safe work culture is encouraged.

  • Perform and adhere to lockout and tagout program and procedures
  • Set-up and maintenance of production related equipment
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts if required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program

  • Change out conveyor belt, gearbox, and bearings

Overview

The Industrial Plant Janitor reports to the Maintenance Manager and will work with employees at all levels of the organization. QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Quality Control Inspector position include daily product inspections and classifications, daily and weekly reporting, and regular performance testing and process control and adhering to government standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection & classification of finished products each day
  • Maintain product and material inspection, and test data daily
  • Complete weekly production and second reports required to ensure accurate inventory
  • Monitor & maintain a documented program of quality assurance, inspection and control for the manufacturing process that meets the requirements of the Ontario Concrete Pipe Association (OCPA) Plant Prequalification Program, and CSA A23.4 Plant Certification
  • Monitor and maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment required to ensure the manufacturing process meets or exceeds the industry standard
  • Provide a record of material & product test performance & non-conformity
  • Inspect in-process products for special requirements and applications specified by engineering, including, fittings and hardware
  • In-process inspections as requested by production and/or shipping including gaskets, coring, scribing, rework, repairs, and confirmation of special applications
  • Report on product performance testing and process control, in meetings and written reports, including testing summaries and interim reports, as outlined in the CPCQA Plant Prequalification Program, and Compliance Reports
  • Be part of the continuous improvement teams and direct quality programs to reduce non-conformance and discontinuity
  • Special projects as required by, and agreed upon with Management, including any changes or revision to current responsibilities

Qualifications
Education Required:

  • Post- secondary education as a civil engineering technologist

Years of Experience

  • 3-5 Years in a project coordinator position or equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Experience

  • Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment and out in the elements
  • Able to climb ladders and move around operating machinery in a safe and proficient manner
  • Concrete testing certification from CCIL or ACI preferred but not required
  • Must have experience with proper use of inspection, measuring and test equipment, including and understanding of proper procedure and calibration
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written, verbal and computer (MS Office), as well as experience with blueprint reading and dimensioning
  • Should have a basic understanding of quality assurance, concrete products & related industry standards, satisfactory to meet the requirements of the Quality Manager

Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager position includes effective leadership and supervision of the Quality Control team ensuring successful delivery of product inspections and testing to achieve desired schedule/standards, while meeting reporting and process control requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision, direction, coaching and development of the Quality Control/Assurance team
  • Ensure compliance with current company quality standards and regulations
    • Ensure supplier documentation has been receive on the correct interval and are in good order
    • Ensure all product tests are up to date, by scheduling and performing tests
  • Monitor and evaluate all activities, processes, and procedures
    • Identify and analyze quality issues and identify/implement solutions
  • Develop internal auditing tools and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations
    • Check quality documents and test results to optimize audit preparation
  • Development of company policies, processes, and procedures regarding quality
    • Identify/analyze arising issues to find solutions and develop methods to be used in the future to prevent them from arising again
  • Collaborate with department managers and staff to identify and reach quality benchmarks
    • Work with Project Coordinators to meet quality requirement of our customers

    • Prepare and update QMSM (Quality Management System Manual) for any addendums that come out regarding the regulations and for process changes within the company

    • Create: audit reports; Stone Strong reports; joint equipment dimension reports; product testing reports, production reports to support inventory control process
    • Communicate relevant information to appropriate departments
  • Participate and guide project quality control from start to finish
    • Ensure the quality team is up to date on what is being made and what is in the works as well as making sure all quality information is being tracked properly
  • Track and oversee quality from raw material receipt to final product
    • File and maintain supplier reports and calibration information, as well as concrete information and completion progress
  • Oversee semi-annual audits and track customer feedback to improve process integrity
    • Organize relevant project information for specific customer jobs and analyze feedback for future improvements
  • Key contributor to continuous improvement teams and directs quality programs to reduce non-conformance
  • Special projects and other duties as required

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • Minimum Post- secondary education as a civil engineering technologist or equivalent experience

Years of Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within an industrial plant production environment
  • Experience within the construction or related industry is an asset

SENIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include providing project leadership/technical support/guidance and ensuring the proper exchange of information within the engineering team; managing overall communication among project team members and ensuring effective coordination between the different departments involved in design and production processes. The Senior Project Coordinator will also lead any complex/custom projects as required and provide oversight, advice and guidance to the Project Coordinators and AutoCAD Technicians, throughout the project and production processes. Demonstrates a clear understanding and knowledge of all manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Project Coordinators, BIM Technicians, Engineers, Estimating, and Production staff to deliver products on time
  • Perform detail material quantity take-offs
  • Direct and support projects from the beginning design phase until delivery
  • Ensure products are being designed in accordance with design standards
  • Ensure that all work completed by the engineering team is completed accurately
  • Coordinate the approval and purchase of specialty hardware included with our products
  • Assist with the completion of estimates, estimate reviews and costing
  • As required, prepare plant shop drawings for manufacturing in AutoCAD/Inventor, and or MH Pro
  • Communicate with general/site contractors, consulting engineers and external sales representatives including responding to questions or inquiries about project status, concerns, or other requests for information
  • As required, conduct job site visits (with clients as required) where products being installed
  • As required, lead project kick off meetings (with clients as required)
  • Project lead on any complex or custom projects as required including consulting with Estimating during completion of custom product proposals
  • Process change orders and communicate changes with Estimating and billing departments
  • Contribute to the detailing and designing of fabrication projects in the plant as required
  • Help maintain library of standard shop drawings
  • Technical liaison with software suppliers and specifiers
  • Attend industry events or functions
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma, preferably in Construction Engineering Technician program

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a project coordinator position or equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Experience

  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, prepare working drawings
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing project schedules and contributing to the development of engineering specifications and drawings

SKILLED LABOURER

Overview

Skilled Labourers are responsible for aiding in all areas of the precast concrete plant and production processes. They are responsible for collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up forms and concrete placing. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant. A high level of safety practices must be always used.

Responsibilities

  • Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, crouching, and handling of materials
  • Assembly, position and dismantle concrete forms
  • Bending, tying, and placing reinforcing steel for precast concrete structures
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
  • Assist machine operators, Crane Operators and other labourers as required
  • May assist with minor repairs and maintenance
  • Clean and remove excess debris from forms, equipment, or facility
  • Participate in daily Pre-Production Meetings • Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
  • Operate various tools or production equipment as part of production processes
  • Perform other tasks related to production, cleaning, and housekeeping as required

Qualifications
Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a production line setting
  • Prior experience in a precast setting or working with concrete is considered an asset

WELDER

Overview

Welders are primarily responsible for building and welding the rebar/wire cages that are used for concrete production. Secondary responsibilities are repairing manufacturing equipment, building production forms, or assisting in other fabrication projects. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Read and interpret production drawings
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, full automated welding equipment
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
  • Repair production equipment, formwork, and fleet repairs
  • Perform other duties or tasks as required

Qualifications
Education Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • College Certificate or equivalent is an asset
  • CWB ticket is an asset

Years of Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years experience

Specific Experience

  • Able to use a wide variety of hand tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, torches
  • Capable of reading and interpreting blueprint drawings with strong attention to detail
  • Layout forms and jigs
  • Prior experience in a welding shop is an asset
  • Butt or seam resistance welding machine
  • Arc welding machine, spot welding machine
