Job Overview
General laborers reporting to their Supervisor are responsible for aiding in all areas of the precast concrete plant and production processes. They are responsible for collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up forms and concrete placing. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive oral or written instructions to determine work assignments.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, crouching, and handling of materials
  • Assembly, position and dismantle concrete forms.

Overview:

We have an immediate opening for an AZ Truck Driver with Boom Experience.

The Truck Driver will report to the Dispatcher and will be responsible for strapping loaded trailers, delivering finished goods to job sites, and assisting with product yard storage.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment (trucks, trailers, and booms), paperwork, and loaded product
  • Maintaining daily manual and/or electronic driving logs
  • Drive to destinations as outlined in the manifest in a safe, responsible, manner and in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations

Overview:

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead Hand, this position will focus on maintenance of the production equipment such as hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, sensors, vibrators, and concrete forming equipment in our plant facility. A welding background is required with having a mechanic / mechanical background being an asset. You are also responsible for general housekeeping and other shared duties in and around the facility.   • Perform and adhere to lockout and tagout program and procedures.
  • Set-up and maintenance of production related equipment

Reporting to the area supervisor and plant supervisor, this position will focus on ensuring sufficient raw materials are available to production, while operating the computerized batch plant system to delivery concrete to designated areas. You are also responsible for general housekeeping and other shared duties in and around the facility. Safe work culture is encouraged.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the concrete batch plant to produce concrete mixes in accordance with approved mix designs and production schedules
  • Control batching operations using computerized batching systems to ensure accurate proportions of cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures
  • Verify materials and adjust mix parameters based on moisture content, weather conditions, and quality control requirements
  • Perform routine inspections of the batch plant, silos, conveyors, mixers, and related equipment

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand

  • Support execution of TPG’s enterprise and divisional marketing strategies
  • Ensure brand consistency across all divisions and customer touchpoints

 Business Development & Sales Support

  • Partner closely with divisional leaders and sales teams to support growth initiatives

 Digital Marketing & Communications

Qualifications and Experience

The Precast Group is currently looking for a full-time permanent Social Media and Content Specialist to support their 3 locations in the Ottawa area.

Overview:

The Social Media and Content Specialist is a business-minded marketer and who is comfortable in a “mobile first” and social media-driven atmosphere. The Social Media and Content Specialist aids in defining the voice of one of Ontario’s biggest and most reputable producers of precast concrete. The Content Creator formulates appropriate, compelling, shareable, and interactive content for dispersion through The Precast Group’s social media channels.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and create content for social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts, which enhances CP/MCON/USI brand.
  • Curate, produce and distribute branded material for our social platforms that people enjoy sharing, including video, images
  • Working with internal teams and clients to gather materials and information for social media postings
  • Maintain, create, and schedule social media posts relevant to each companies’ tone, product lines and events.
  • Lead/Assist with additional video, photography, or marketing duties.
  • Branding or creating internal and external documents using SharePoint, Lightroom, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Assist with creating thought leadership posts for website.
  • Working with third party companies to meet deliverables – website updates, event planning, corporate clothing
  • Working with internal sales, HR and marketing teams on events or event planning and coordination
  • Take proactive actions to limit negative social media engagement.
  • Take proactive actions to increase positive brand sentiment, algorithm traction and followers by monitoring and influencing online conversations.
  • Perform other duties related to content marketing as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post- Secondary Diploma, preferably in Marketing, Business or a related program
  • Successful experience self managing and tracking projects and meeting deadlines
  • Possess impeccable public relations, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have strong and effective organizational and communication skills in English

 

Years of experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Social Media and Business Marketing and Branding position

 

Specific Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience with business marketing and applying communications principles
  • Have a good understanding of business to effectively write new releases, award applications writing, funding applications, etc…
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software including graphic design and web applications, social media platforms, spreadsheets, databases, Internet, e-mails and presentation software
  • Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and experience in their application
  • Experience in developing and implementing brand marketing / social media content
  • Experience in event planning and organization
  • Ability and availability to occasionally travel outside of the city to facilitate activities and work outside of normal office hours
  • Comfortable adapting to various work environments, including rotating between multiple offices and manufacturing facilities on a weekly basis, as well as attending job sites when weather permits.
  • Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written) – Not sure if this is necessary

  • Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays.
