Qualifications

Education Required

Overview

We have an immediate opening for an AZ Truck Driver with Boom Experience. The Truck Driver will report to the Dispatcher and will be responsible for strapping loaded trailers, delivering finished goods to job sites, and assisting with product yard storage.

Responsibilities

• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product
• Maintaining daily driving logs
• Drive to destinations as outlined in the manifest in a safe, responsible, manner and in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations
• Notifying Dispatch of any route changes, time delays, and non-delivered orders
• Checking-in with Customers at each designated job
• Finding solutions to possible challenges with the assistance of Dispatch

Overview

We are looking for a BIM Technician to join our team. You will be a member of our engineering team, contributing to the design of our more complex products. To be successful in this position, you should have firsthand experience using CAD software with strong attention to detail. It is also important that you have solid project coordination skills to meet the daily demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret detailed civil engineering drawings, including plan and profile drawings.

Overview

The Facility Custodian reports to the Plant Supervisor and works with employees at all levels of the organization. This position is responsible for the housekeeping, cleanliness of all areas of the precast concrete manufacturing facility. Responsibilities also include cleaning concrete formwork, floors, bathrooms, offices, and supporting production by performing general maintenance cleaning duties to ensure the facility and equipment are in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

Overview

Forklift Operators are responsible for aiding in all areas of the manufacturing facility. Primarily working in the stock yard, year-round, in equipment with capacities ranging from 10,000 lbs up to 100,000 Ibs equipped with heating. The goal of a workplace Health and Safety Officer (HSO) is to maintain a safe working environment for all employees of a business. Health and Safety Officer is responsible for implementing occupational health and safety regulations in the workplace. The HSO’s main aim is to prevent accidents, injuries and work related illnesses in the workplace by promoting safety awareness among employees in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee orientations, onboarding and training requirements, from a H&S
  perspective
• Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident, health hazards and make recommendations for improvement on a regular basis
• Prepare and investigate reports of incidents and injuries, claims and appeal process (i.e. WSIB/Worker’s Compensation)
• Work with plant managers and WSIB to submit and implement claim reporting, return to work activities and modified work programs
• Prepare and submit materials for insurance
• Perform Risk Management and Analysis
• Weekly/monthly compliance reports using various software
• Provide/deliver new and updated H&S information, policies, procedures and resources, to all staff (Plant and Office)Work with operational staff to develop, implement and enforce organizational Safety
  Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Participate as the Chairperson on Joint Health and Safety Committee, schedule and attend
  meeting and responsible for minutes.
• Coach, direct, support all staff with H&S
• Assist in employee compliance and regulatory standards (Highway Traffic Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc.…)
• Work with HR to identify other related safety concerns
• Maintain/Update safety files, employee records and training databases
• Available for after hours emergencies, as when needed
• Perform other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Must Have

• Possess a valid driver’s license (0 demerits)
• Previous experience working in a unionized environment
• 5-7 years of experience in a Health and Safety in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards
• Infrastructure Health and Safety experience (IHSA COR an asset)
• Computer knowledgeable (MS)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all areas of work
• Ability to clearly communicate infractions and deliver repercussions
• Self-starting proactive individual who can work well independently and in a team environment
• Able to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Assets

• College Diploma or University Degree, in health and safety
• 2-3 years of experience employee coaching
• Previous experience with JHS Committee in a chairperson capacity
• AZ Driver’s license for training purposes

Overview

Skilled Labourers are responsible for aiding in all areas of the precast concrete plant and production processes. They are responsible for collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up forms and concrete placing. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant. A high level of safety practices must be always used.

Responsibilities

• Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, crouching, and handling of materials
• Assembly, position and dismantle concrete forms.
• Bending, tying, and placing reinforcing steel for precast concrete structures
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
• Assist machine operators, Crane Operators and other labourers as required
• May assist with minor repairs and maintenance
• Clean and remove excess debris from forms, equipment, or facility
• Participate in daily Pre-Production Meetings
• Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
• Operate various tools or production equipment as part of production processes
• Perform other tasks related to production, cleaning, and housekeeping as required

Qualifications
Education Required:

• High-School Diploma or equivalent

• 1-2 years in a construction, manufacturing, or concrete experience

• Prior experience in a precast setting or working with concrete is considered an asset

Overview

Welders are primarily responsible for building and welding the rebar/wire cages that are used for concrete production. Secondary responsibilities are repairing manufacturing equipment, building production forms, or assisting in other fabrication projects. They participate in general housekeeping and other various tasks throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Read and interpret production drawings
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, full automated welding equipment
• Operate flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
• Repair production equipment, formwork, and fleet repairs
• Perform other duties or tasks as required

Qualifications
Education Required:

• High School Diploma
• College Certificate or equivalent is an asset
• CWB ticket is an asset

Years of Experience

• Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years experience

Specific Experience

• Able to use a wide variety of hand tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, torches
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprint drawings with strong attention to detail
• Layout forms and jigs

Overview

We are looking to fill a vacant position on the engineering team of a Project Coordinator. Working under the Engineering Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position are to prepare the proposal and shop drawings for projects, to communicate with general and site contractors, consulting engineers and external sales representatives throughout the sales process, as well as prepare and maintain schedules set out as per the clients.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Project Coordinators, BIM Technicians, Engineers, Estimating, Shipping and Production staff to deliver products on time
• Ensure products are being designed in accordance with design standards
• Ensure that all work completed by the engineering team is completed accurately
• Prepare plant shop drawings for manufacturing with MH Pro software.
• Perform detail material quantity take-offs.
• Prepare product proposal drawings for specifier approvals.
• Track and oversee projects from customer quotes to delivery to product installation.
• Using phone, email, video chat, communicate with general and site contractors, consulting engineers and external sales representatives throughout the sales process.
• Project kick off meetings with clients as required
• Process change orders and communicate changes with Estimating and billing departments
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Education Required:

• Post-Secondary Education
• Eligible for certification with OACETT as a Certified Engineering Technologist, (C.E.T.) (preferred)

Years of Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management as a project coordinator or equivalent role preferably in construction, or concrete industry.

Specific Experience

• Read and interpret municipal service contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare project schedules, assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
• CAE – computer aided engineering, Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Drainage and irrigation systems, pipelines, roadways and highways, sewers, sewage treatment facilities and storm water management systems
• Structural engineering, construction design and supervision is an asset
• Having hands on experience using the latest version of AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor is an asset.
