The Crown of Stonebridge was a standout project for us because it pushed us into exciting new territory. This was our first time using the Tennessee Foothills pattern and our first coloured Stone Strong wall, finished in a sleek charcoal that really elevated the overall look. The aesthetic was a big deal for this one—Mattamy Homes told us they wanted something that would complement the modern design of the community, and this wall fit perfectly with that vision. With limited space to grade out the lots, a retaining wall became the best solution to maximize usable backyard space while also adding privacy for homeowners.
What made this project extra unique was the collaboration. Instead of going through a contractor, we worked directly with Mattamy Homes, which meant they had more input on the colour, loading percentage, and final appearance. They even added a fence on top which we were able to accommodate by running the fence posts through the hollow cavities of the blocks for added strength. Despite a tight deadline and a mid-project redesign, everything came together within 5 months, and the finished result has quickly become one of our most talked-about installations. This job really proved that with the right team and the right product, we can take on any challenge and make it look good while we’re at it.
