PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Working closely with Ainley, our engineering and production teams designed and manufactured five custom chambers to meet the specific demands of a 2.4-kilometer, 500mm-diameter sanitary forcemain installation. This new forcemain connects Paul Martin Drive and Town Line Road to O’Brien Street and Bell Street, incorporating valve chambers, air release chambers, and a final outlet structure to tie into the existing gravity sewer system.
To ensure durability and functionality, our team incorporated raised chimneys to encase custom aluminum hatches, extended base slabs to counteract buoyancy forces, and specialized hardware for quick, secure connections to cast-in-place thrust blocks. These features exemplify our commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet the highest standards for quality and performance.
After extensive design collaboration and reviews starting in May 2022, we began delivering the chambers in August 2023. Working with local brokers, our yard crew ensured safe loading and transport of the structures to the site, where they were offloaded and installed seamlessly by crane. This project highlights MCON’s ability to solve complex challenges through expertise and collaboration, reinforcing our reputation as a valuable partner in infrastructure development.
